    Default Greetings

Hi there people, I'm Lee (or you can call me MouldyCheese if you wish haha) 20 years old. Male, ummmm straight.......single

    Moving on...

I'm new here, signed up for the course a couple of weeks ago and am really looking forward to it, it'll be a nice change to do something i'll actually be interested in! I'm looking at taking the Designer course rather than the Developer course.

Saying that, I am fairly good at Maths, or used to be in school anyway, but i've never learned any programming or scripting and it seems a little daunting to me, besides, i'm more of an idea person!

I do have a question about the financial side of things though, i've read a few different things and just want to clarify:

Is there a deposit? - How much?
What are the installments after that?

    Cheers fellow nerds

    Hi Lee,

First up, welcome to the forum, nice to meet another new face/name/character, and I hope you like it both here and on the course, you'll find people here are friendly and helpful and there's lots going on all around.

Seems a bit strange that you signed up but haven't been asked for a deposit. The deposit is £100 and the instalments are £135 per month for 36 months.

This paragraph removed as it was completely incorrect!

Anyway, don't be a stranger, have a look around, see what's happening in the forum, community groups, albums etc. and check out the Train2Game website at these two links and see if you're on the right track.

    All the best.

Thank you for the welcome sir. Just to clear up, i'll most likely be taking the Designer course....

I'm looking at taking the Designer course rather than the Developer course.

I'll forgive you, if you're in the UK like me, it is very early and you're probably half asleep

I haven't 'literally' signed up yet, I applied via the website a few weeks ago.
I was a bit concerned I hadn't got any word back yet, so came here to check up on it. Apparently, there's a large number of people applying so it will take a few weeks, which is fine!

I thought, why not sign up here in the meantime?

Thank you for answering those questions, i'm sure I saw £20 a week somewhere and something completely different in another place. It is quite a lot of money, but its better to spend it on something useful I suppose!

Really must've been half asleep when I wrote that, could've sworn you said you were doing dev. Never mind. Yes, the course does currently have a high intake at the moment so there are delays but I'm sure you'll get there.

Hi and welcome to the forums mate.

Im on the designer course too. Only been here 3 weeks myself, but im getting along ok. Just need to maybe put a bit more time in.

You met some of the guys already and im sure the rest will be along soon. Their all really helpful and everybody's real sound.

Ive already learned that no matter how silly you think your question may be, just ask anyway. Nobody is on here to judge, we're all on the same boat.

If i can do anything to help you, just ask away anytime.

Good Luck with whatever you decide

Welcome to the forum Mouldy cheese, how delicious that sounds, Anyway the phone call to book an advisor appointment will come eventually but that process is slow, in the meantime you can get to know people and what they're up to around here, and of course get more game play practice in
Marty quoted the costs right unless you're able to pay in full up front which would be £4200 so you'd save a bit but most of us can't do that. Anyway Good luck
