My advice would be to pick 2 of your own favourite games- 1 from each genre, imagine the 2 mixed together and write about how it would be like if you were the one designing the game.

If you really cant answer the question, i wouldnt dwell on it too much, the SMA's dont go towards your final marks at all.

I would also say that if you are stuck with any of the questions, SMAs etc then you should not hesitate to contact your tutors!

yep i'd say tutor time they might be able to make it clearer in your head what they're looking for so you won't get stumped again later

Think of your favourite FPS game - probably Call of Duty MW? then consider the gameplay mechanics behind it and imagine yourself sitting playing the game, or even go and play the game itself!

Then think of the concept of rail shooters - think operation wolf, virtua cop, house of the dead,
time crisis and then transform Call of Duty MW into something along those lines explaining the differences between the FPS version and the rail shooter version.

I did the same, MW:2 and Time Crisis, must be an obvious mix hehe.

Just ran through my favourite MW:2 level a few times to find the most "exciting route" then imagined what it would be like if that route was the rail, Picked up a overhead map from a website and drew on some lines as to where the rail would go, which doors it passes through etc. and added some Time-Crisis like "cover" points between each movement area.

Sounds good but just looks like I've scribbed over a map
I never know what to write here ...
