Not sure how many people look in the General Discussion section of the forum, so I thought I'd do a bit of shameless promotion in other parts, so everyone gets to know about Game Marmalade.
There is a Game Jam being organised for students, by students called - Game Marmalade - and it would be awesome if we could make it a success.
Simply put, this is an alternative to the Game Jam's put on by Train2Game, hence the name Game Marmalade. This is a free on-line event which will be hosted through Teamspeak and teams of up to 4 people will create a working game, over the course of the May Bank Holiday. Each team will put forward a theme for the event beforehand and at the start on of the event a theme will be picked out of a hat and that will be the theme for the weekend. The object of Game Marmalade is for teams to come up with a working game, which incorporates the theme in some way. You can use whatever software you like, it can be 2d or 3d and as long as you incorporate the theme it's entirely up to you what you create.
