    Hi Train2Game students,

I am currently building an online arcade portal in addition to my development/publishing platform.
The website is featured at this address (www.plasisgamesportal.com) and I was wondering if you
would like to partner as I can provide publishing for physical/digital media for free. We would
both benefit from the publicity as I am currently partnered with Train2Game and a russian HTML5
game provider as an official publisher (PlayCityInc).

The site is growing I came to you as I want to provide you with the best publishing and
    advertisement deal possible.

I am currently dealing with the PR firm for Train2Game also who has creating our first press
release situated at this link (http://www.gamasutra.com/view/pressr...lasisGames.php)

It would be great to provide some service to fellow students as I know I can provide
great service/features. The PR team have officially backed me fully.

I am here to help you so get in touch as soon as possible.

    Kind Regards,
    Sean.

You "knowing" you can is very different from you "showing/ proving" you can. A developer needs proof that you can act as a great publisher.

    - What have you published in the past?
    - Where have you published in the past?
    - If you have published games before, how well have they performed?
    - What are you actually offering as a publisher? (I.E: Why should I choose to use you as a publisher, giving you some of my revenue, over self-publishing or finding an already established publisher (Chillingo et al)).
-- Have you got QA on offer?
-- Have you got localisation capabilities?
-- What are your marketing and PR strategies?
-- What are your marketing and PR contacts/ reach? Can you get my game on the front page of the biggest websites? Or in the hands of YouTubers/ Twitch streamers?

While I commend you for attempting something new, your current ... of it is lacking vastly. When I go to your website I think:

    - The font is poor, you might think it looks "cool", but it is not practical - it's annoying to read
    - Your banner takes up far too much real estate
    - "Plasis Games?" looks more like you're questioning something about your company, rather than introducing it
    - Your whole front page should be on a separate page called "About" -> home page should be advertising the games you have published/ are publishing*
    - Your email address is @gmail.com , a company has branded email address ...
    - Your "Development & Publishing" page tells me nothing, it is just a list of technologies/ platforms and partners - why are those items on the list?

    * If you aren't publishing any games atm, then list what you can offer for potential developers -> I've looked at your site several times, and always close it from disinterest.

Look at other publishers websites (E.G: http://www.chillingo.com/ and others), and service websites (E.G: http://www.gamesparks.com/), pay attention to how they layout their websites, how they present information, how they show what product and/ or service(s) they are offering ... and then take what you have learned from them, and improve your website.

    Hi Carwash,

    Thank you for your points.

I will take them on board, grow and develop and return.

I really appreciate your extended response as it allows me to really improve across a lot of areas that I had not considered or not picked up on.

    Thank you once again.

    Kind Regards,
    Sean.

    That's a great response.

Usually people get shitty when their work is criticised and/or hear news they didn't want to hear.

    Hi adam6785,

Thank you for the additional perspective.

Unfortunately I have been there myself at one point (shitty responses) but working in tech support for the past few years has battered some common sense into me.

    Kind Regards,
    Sean.
