    Default 2D Animations

    Hey everyone.

I just passed Lesson 13 and I did an 8 frame animation on Photoshop CS5.1.
I would like some feedback about it and what can be done to improve in the future.

Also, I would love to see simple animations from you guys too, if it's not too much trouble!

Great work! I havn't uploaded any of my 2D animations to my workthread. Maybe I should start doing that.

I was going to talk about adding extra motion, mostly lateral movement, but I thought better of it.

In an 8 frame anim, try to have something noticeable happening on every frame of it. It appears that frame 8 and 1 are the same, although I could be wrong (disclaimer) causing a tangible pause as the animation 'resets'.

Looking at the animation again, I think if the tail started in a 'central' position and then wagged both left (diagonal up, as it is) and right (diagonal down) it wouldn't look quite so mechanical. Good stuff though.

Nice work! Perhaps the blinking/winking could be a little faster/smoother, but its excellent that you've animated such a detailed character

I haven't made any GIFs for a while, but I make animated cartoons if you want to look at how the frames fit together ->
