when i start a video on the course DVD I can see only a message
"cannot find vids:IV41 decompressor"
Any ideas how can i solve this problem?

You are missing a video codec, if you contact the tutor team they will point to in the direction of it. Id try and find it myself but I'm on a bus and my laptop is about to run out of battery

I had the same problem and after a bit of searching and downloading a few files that didn't work i found this link which worked a treat hope it helps

Incidentally, as it was mentioned elsewhere, I just tested that codec pack on a Windows 7 machine and it runs fine.

If you google for the codec, you'll find it. It took me a while to find it, when i went looking for it.

Yup, the above link does work with Windows 7 as I was having a nightmare getting it to work but the above link worked! Woo!

VLC often plays anything you are struggling with.

While I wholehartedly recomend VLC for all your video playing needs, unfortunately it won't play any IV41 encoded files...
