I was thinking since this course is all about gaming would it be possible for TIGA and T2G to start planning trips to gaming events such as E3 but I am not sure if that's possible but others such as the PAX events and of course Gamescon are open to the general public. Or since it is based in the UK this course would it be possible to plan a trip for say 100 students or something around that area to go to the London Games Expo.

I dont expect you to pay for us but it would be cool for you to plan or at least help to plan for students to go as then students can meet each other in person and make new friends. AND of course we can try out some of the games on offer and speak to some of the representatives of the studios.

Obviously you would need permission from parents/guardians if below the age of 18 and other information. But even if you cant take us could you at least help students to plan to go to these events.

this has already been planned several months ago by a fellow student Rico3k.
Several students are attending the london expo, some all three days most on saturday. There is a question thread about the expo along with a poll for people to let us know if they are coming to nandos after as a table will need to be booked by me.

I don't like having IRL friends...you have to talk to them and stuff.

Waaaay beyond my capabilities...

I thinks that a great idea, i'd happily pay to go there as long as its organised by T2G. Good opportunity to meet fellow TG2ers and great experience of the kind industry we're involved, and ofcourse a bloody great day out! :)

I think the E3 thing would be an amazing opportunity. If entrance could be arranged and confirmed by T2G I would happily pony up the cash to get in on the event.

For eurogamer, I don't know what help you need organising. Go to website, pay 8, get ticket. It's not really possible to arrange a couch for people who live all over the shop.
E3, I'd guess would be pointles to organise as few of us can afford plane tickets to California.
Gamescon, maybe, Germany is a bit more realistic

I think I'd pick California over London if someone else was footing the bill.
