... mounting via virtual disk. Is it worth it?

After getting my student no. through today, I've started on the DVD and it's a pain to hear it spinning up every few minutes and waiting on the drive reading it before I get the next page.

How long will I be using this DVD for? Is it a integral part of the whole course or just the intro?

P.s. Not sure if this is the right place for this thread.

Impatient student.

Firstly, this topic has now been moved to a more appropriate location.

Secondly, you may wish to make virtual copies of your learning DVD's. However, as you will only be using them to aid in the completion of one specific part of the course, for each time you press on to the next part you will be given the accompanying DVD.

I guess it is really down to whatever you are comfortable with - noise and sluggish responses, or quiet responsiveness...
For me personally, my DVD combo drives are fairly capable at the minute for me to not wish to conduct such remedies. :)

Thanks for the reply. I'll just stick to the disk for now and see how things go then. If I'm using the disk a lot then I'll prob just resort to mounting them (no laughing at the back).

Cheers.
